Josh Murray

Josh’s journey began in 2009 when he was 9 years old and took over his family’s flock of 40 hens. He wanted some pocket money as he loved lego. He started by cold calling into local shops selling his eggs to the employees. He then grew his flock and went to farmers markets.

Eight years later Josh has 9500 hens living in state of the art solar powered mobile sheds, laying nearly 5000 dozen per week. Josh’s Eggs are sold at 30 Coles and Woolworths stores and many independent supermarkets.

During this time he has talked one on one to thousands of customers telling them his story. Josh has given many talks at schools and libraries sharing his passion for ethical free range eggs and demonstrating that age is no barrier. Josh has won several awards, including the International Customer Service Professional Young Achiever, Macedon Ranges Business Innovation Award and finalist in the Coles Rising Star Award. He was recently chosen as Ambassador for National Chook Health Day 2017.

Josh is writing a book for children about his journey. He is an incredibly engaging story teller who has the unique ability to inspire a whole generation of young entrepreneurs.
