After completing a Bachelor of Education at Deakin University then realising she was not cut out to be a high school teacher, Karmen Costigan spent several years working as a professional actor. She had a successful career in Melbourne before selling all of her worldly goods, taking the plunge and moving to Hollywood with big plans to be a star!
While living in Hollywood, Karmen entered the residential property management industry as an onsite manager in a less than desirable location. Her experiences from managing apartments in gangland Venice Beach gave her a solid grounding to be a strong property manager, which led to her current role today as Business Development Executive for property management at Ray White Corporate Queensland.
Follow Karmen’s journey of epic rejection which led to incredible resilience and a never wavering determination to achieve her goal of being a working actor in Los Angeles.
Karmen was the 2017 Myf Porter Award winner for the Ray White Group, which celebrates excellence in learning and development. She is dedicated to motivating and inspiring people to have the confidence to star in their own careers and to never give up!
